Who are we?

New Varangian Guard - Rusland are a group of enthusiastic reenactors from many walks of life. We are a mix of history nuts, archaeologists, battle maniacs, duelists, tacticians and artisans.

Rusland is at it's core a social group of people who are enthusiastic about keeping the knowledge and experience of 13th Century Byzantium alive through Medieval Reenactment, sharing our knowledge with each other as well as with the community at large.
